What happens if I say something dark or scary? +
The AI responds with care and may suggest crisis lines or emergency services if it believes you might be at risk of serious harm. It will not call anyone for you — it can only guide you towards real‑world support and encourage you to reach out to trusted people in your life. If you’re in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Is this a replacement for therapy? +
No. KindCompanion is for everyday emotional load — the space between “I’m fine” and “I need clinical support”. If you’re getting worse over time, speak to a doctor or qualified professional.
Can I cancel or pause whenever I want? +
Yes. No contracts. You can cancel through Stripe via the customer portal link in your receipt email, and you can stop messaging any time.
